Managing Your Stress

May 18, 2021
A diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD) can create feelings of anxiety, disbelief or denial. The first step to managing mental health issues is to acknowledge the way you feel.  The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone. Talk to your care team. They can refer you to a counselor or a therapist who can help you.  Find tips to help manage stress from our friends at Fresenius Kidney Care.

May is National Military Appreciation Month

Balboa Nephrology Medical Group proudly supports National Military Appreciate Month.  Declared by Congress in 1999, May was selected National Military Appreciation Month as a month-long observance honoring the sacrifices of the United States Armed Forces.  There are more military related observances during the month of May than any other month, so it is an appropriate time to celebrate the men and women in uniform.

During May, we recognize Loyalty Day, VE Day (the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945), Armed Forces Day,  Military Spouses Day and Memorial Day.  For more information, visit http://www.military.com/military-appreciation-month
