Arman Faravardeh, M.D.
Dr. Faravardeh joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2014. He practices in the Sharp Metro are; specializing in Kidney diseases which include hemodialysis patients at both FMC and DaVita Dialysis units.

Dr. Faravardeh attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his residency. He completed his Nephrology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, reading history and science, and traveling.

Jeffrey Halldorson, M.D.
Dr. Halldorson joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2017. He is a General Surgeon specializing in kidney transplantation at Sharp Memorial where he is also the Surgical Director of Transplantation.

Dr. Halldorson attended medical school at the University of Michigan where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. After completing his residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his Molecular Biology/Gene Therapy Post-Doctoral fellowship training followed by his Transplant fellowship training at The University of San Francisco.

In his free time, he likes to cycle, sail, hike and cook.

Guy Lund, M.D.
Dr. Lund joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2008. He practices in the Sharp Metro area; specializing in kidney diseases which includes hemodialysis patients at both FMC and DaVita Dialysis units.

Dr. Lund attended medical school at Naval Medical Center, San Diego where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his residency. He completed his Nephrology fellowship at the University of California San Diego.

In his free time, he enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with his wife.

Kristian Brown, M.D.
Dr. Brown joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2015. He is a Surgeon specializing in kidney transplantation at Sharp Memorial.

Dr. Brown attended medical school at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. He obtained his Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University and completed his residency at Detroit Medical Center/ Wayne State University School of Medicine. He went on to complete an Abdominal Transplant/Hepatobiliary fellowship at the University of Southern California, Keck Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

He enjoys kayaking, basketball, and jazz music.

Marquis Hart, M.D.
Dr. Marquis Hart joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 2020. He is a board-certified surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He is a specialist in transplant, hepatobiliary and general surgery.

Dr. Hart received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stanford University, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After finishing his surgical residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, he completed his fellowship training in general surgery and liver transplantation at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center. In 1993, Dr. Hart established the liver transplant program at the University of California San Diego and served as the director of the abdominal transplant programs. Dr. Hart developed the liver transplant program at Swedish Medical Center and served as the director of transplant programs until 2019.

Dr. Hart is committed to helping his patients return to living healthy, productive lives. In his spare time he enjoys photography and spending time with his three beautiful daughters and two grandchildren.

Tepsiri
Chongkrairatanakul, M.D.
Dr. Tepsiri Chongkrairatanakul or “ Dr. Chong” joined Balboa Nephrology in 2018. He practices at Sharp Memorial Hospital and covers Sharp Metro area. He specializes in a variety of kidney diseases, glomerular diseases, kidney stone prevention, dialysis and hypertension. He has a special interest in kidney and pancreas transplant and is part of the transplant team at Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Chong obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed internal medicine residency and chief residency at a Bassett Medical Center in New York. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship at Boston University followed by Transplant Nephrology fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin. He very much enjoyed teaching and was an Assistant Professor as well as Associate Program Director of Nephrology Fellowship training at Medical College of Wisconsin.

In free time, he enjoys cooking Thai food, jogging and reading with his 3-year-old twin daughters.
